Barbara's gold-selling 1986 album is the latest in a series of remastered and expanded reissues of her classic pop albums.

'The Right Moment', Barbara's final album for K-Tel Records in 1986, is the latest of her back catalogue to be released as a two-disc Special Edition CD and it is now available to pre-order here, either individually or as a double pack together with her new compilation set, 'Perfectly Designed'.

Digitally remastered, 'The Right Moment' features all original fourteen album tracks including 'Boulder to Birmingham', 'She Moves Thro' The Fair, 'If You Go Away' and Gerry Rafferty's beautiful title track which has long remained a staple of Barbara's live set. "Gerry later told me that it was his favourite cover that anyone had recorded of his work," Barbara recalls in the liner notes, "and that was a huge compliment to me."

The album comes as a double CD set, with the second disc featuring twelve songs recorded for a 1986 radio broadcast, none of which have ever been released before in any format. Also included is a 16 page booklet detailing the making of the album with contributions from Barbara, co-writer Charlie Dore and members of Barbara's band at the time.

The first 200 copies ordered with 'Perfectly Designed' will also include a limited edition art card autographed by Barbara.

The details behind this special edition sound really interesting, especially the unreleased radio recordings. On a lighter note, I’ve been enjoying some downtime with Rocket Goal lately—it’s simple, fun, and a nice way to relax for a few minutes.

Slope Game is a great game because of its long playtime cycle. The game's fast-paced action requires commitment, even if it just takes a few seconds for inexperienced players to acquire the controls. As the tempo rises, players must anticipate obstacles far ahead, which creates an exciting rhythm of movement, agility, and perfect execution. This balance between utility and challenge encourages players to come back for "just one more run."

It's wonderful to see classic albums being preserved through these special editions. Barbara Dickson’s interpretation of “The Right Moment” remains timeless, and Gerry Rafferty’s praise makes it even more special. On a completely different note, Slope Rider is a browser-based sled game where players race down snowy hills while avoiding obstacles, and it has become one of my favorite quick diversions.
