Barbara's 1989 album 'Coming Alive Again' to be released as a deluxe two-disc CD set.
May 9th, 2023 will see the release of 'Coming Alive Again' as a two-disc Special Edition set.
Never reissued since its original release in 1989, this deluxe double CD has been completely remastered and includes rare recordings from this period of Barbara's career, together with the complete recording of her concert set from that year's 'Coming Alive Again' tour. It is now available to pre-order here.
In addition, the set, limited to just 400 copies and available exclusively via Barbara's webstore, includes a sixteen page booklet featuring photos from the period and extensive liner notes about the making of the album with contributions from producers Stewart and Bradley James, writer Charlie Dore, band members Jerry Stevenson and Bob Jenkins and Barbara herself.
Barbara says of the release:
'Coming Alive Again' marked the end of my years as a 'pop star' and as such I think I'd virtually forgotten it! But I do hope that you enjoy listening to it again after all these years, beautifully remastered – and how wonderful to hear Jerry, Bob, me and the late Pete Zorn and Andy Brown together from all those years ago on the live recordings from that year's tour. I had no idea that it had been recorded. It really is fantastic I think, listening to it for the first time. I do hope that you'll agree - some of you may even have been there!"
The first 200 copies only of the Special Edition CD will include a limited edition 'Coming Alive Again' art card, individually autographed by Barbara.
