This was a mail order only 3-CD set specially produced for The Reader's Digest and featuring songs licenced from Barbara. Also included are new recordings by Rebecca Storm, Petula Clark, Lorna Dallas and Annie Ross.

 

The set includes 6 new recordings by Barbara. Her band, including Pete Zorn, Ian Lynn and Andy Brown also feature on several other recordings in the set.

 

'Adelaide's Lament' is from the musical 'Guys And Dolls' and features Barbara with Orchestra conducted by Del Newman.

 

'I'll Know' is also from 'Guys And Dolls' and features Barbara and Gary Wilmot with Orchestra conducted by Ian Lynn.

 

'There Goes That Song Again', taken from 'Carolina Blues', features Barbara with Orchestra conducted by Ian Lynn.

 

'Guess I'll Hang My Tears Out To Dry' is from the musical 'Glad To See You' and features Don Lusher on Trombone and ensemble directed by Ian Lynn. This song was later re-used on Barbara's album 'For The Record' in 2001.

 

'Bye Bye Baby' is from 'Gentlemen Prefer Blondes' and features Pete Zorn on Soprano Saxophone with ensemble directed by Ian Lynn.

 

'Long Before I Knew You', from the musical ' Bells Are Ringing', features Barbara and Denis Quilley with Orchestra conducted by Ian Lynn.
