'Holst: In the Bleak Midwinter', from director Tony Palmer, tells the story of Gustav Holst and is the first ever film about the composer.

 

The film includes Barbara singing 'In The Bleak Midwinter', which she originally performed in the 1974 musical 'John Paul George Ringo... & Bert'. The song featured on the 1975 cast album of the show and a live version was also included on her 2009 live album, Barbara Dickson In Concert.

 

The DVD also features Katherine Jenkins, Kiri Te Kanawa, Russell Watson and Máiréad Nesbit & Celtic Woman.
