ONE ENCHANTED EVENING - ODYSSEY ARENA, BELFAST

The Odyssey Arena in Belfast was an excellent venue for such a dramatic show. This was an evening aimed at celebrating music, and in particular Musical Theatre.
As well as Barbara, artists taking part in 'One Enchanted Evening' were Peter Corry, Brian Kennedy (who had stepped in at the last moment to replace Claire Sweeney), Jeff Layton, Joanna Ampil, Teri Bibb and David Michael Johnson. A wonderful array of talent from local northern Irish performers to stars from Broadway!
Thirty standards from the musicals, including shows like 'Oklahoma', 'Cats', 'Evita', 'Jesus Christ Superstar', 'Les Miserables', 'Phantom Of the Opera' and 'Blood Brothers' were performed to a packed auditorium by the various artists. Barbara Dickson sang four songs - 'Another Suitcase In Another Hall', 'September Song', 'I Know Him So Well' and 'Tell Me It's Not True', accompanied by her band, consisting of Neil Drinkwater, Brad Lang, Dave Lewis, Jerry Stevenson and Bob Jenkins.
As the evening came to an end, Barbara also led the cast in a rousing finale of 'You'll Never Walk Alone' from 'Carousel'. All too soon it was over, but Barbara did not disappoint - as always THAT voice was amazing.
An enchanted evening indeed...
