"Greetings! John Shuttleworth here. Welcome to Radio Shuttleworth - the station which broadcasts to the nation from the privacy of my lounge in Sheffield, South Yorks.
Sometimes we even broadcast from the kitchen (unless the microphone cable has snagged on the hall radiator valve en route, in which case it must be teased free - not yanked, lad!)
To business... Here, in 4 shows from the Sony Award nominated 2nd series, (my, that sounds posh!), my star guests include Barbara Dickson - she takes a shine to my son, Darren's cabinbed, and Richard Whiteley - he drinks all my sherry and consequently does a poor job of washing the dishes!
Tony Hart helps me out with a spot of emergency DIY, and Matthew Kelly hosts an impromptu editon of Stars in Their Eyes. I'm Richard Clayderman, by the way, but who will Joan Chitty come as! Punk rocker (oof!) John Otway and promising busker Bill Bailey fail to impress an impressario (sole agent and nextdoor neighbour, Ken Worthington), and comedians Hattie Haydridge and Stephen Frost try in vain to Make Mary Merry.
