HASTINGS CONCERT (09.05.12)
Barbara and her band will be playing a special one-off concert in the grounds of Fairlight Hall in Hastings on the evening of Sunday 17th June, 2012, in aid of 'Art In Healthcare'.

Barbara will be appearing in concert in Dundee on September 16th and at Paisley Abbey on December 7th, as well as a small show in London on January 12th, 2013 - further details can be found on the Concerts page

Two new concerts have been announced for later this year - Barbara will play the Opera House in Buxton on 19th August and the Banbury Folk Festival on 13th October - check the Concerts page for further details.
NATIONAL DOODLE DAY (03.03.12)
Barbara is amongst the celebrities who have donated doodles which are being auctioned online for this year's National Doodle Day, raising funds for the charity Epilepsy Action. Click here to view the auction.

EDINBURGH FESTIVAL (23.02.12)
Barbara will be appearing as part of the 'Far Far From Ypres' concert (which was staged recently at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall) at the Edinburgh Festival on August 16th.
BBC SPECIAL (23.02.12)
BBC Alba, the Scottish TV channel, are preparing a documentary on Barbara's career which is due to be filmed this Spring for transmission later in the year. BBC Alba is broadcast by the BBC throughout the UK on satellite, online and on demand through Virgin Media.

BBC RAFFERTY TRIBUTE CONCERT - UPDATE (02.02.12)
Clips of Barbara singing 'Wise As A Serpent' and 'Family Tree' (with the Rafferty family) are now available to watch online. Highlights will be broadcast on BBC Radio 2 on February 14th and on TV on BBC Four on February 24th - more details here
BBC RAFFERTY TRIBUTE CONCERT (28.01.12)
The BBC have confirmed that they will be broadcasting last week's tribute concert to the late singer-songwriter Gerry Rafferty on BBC Scotland and BBC Four.
'Bring It All Home - Gerry Rafferty Remembered' features artists including Barbara, The Proclaimers and Maria Muldaur and will be broadcast on BBC Two Scotland on February 1 and UK-wide at a later date on BBC Four, when it will be accompanied by the previously-broadcast documentary 'Gerry Rafferty - Right Down the Line'.
Radio 2 and Radio Scotland will also air highlights of the concert which will be presented by Ricky Ross. Further details will be available here as they are confirmed.

Barbara has contributed to the new CD by Gaelic singer Fiona J Mackenzie which is scheduled for release later this year.
THE STORY OF MUSICALS (14.01.12)
Part two of the new BBC series, 'The Story of Musicals,' features archive footage of Barbara in the original production of Willy Russell's 'Blood Brothers' - the show is available to watch again online here via BBC iPlayer and is also repeated on Sunday 15th January on BBC Four at 9.00 pm.

THE STORY OF MUSICALS (09.01.12)
The first episode of the new BBC Four series, 'The Story of Musicals' traces the story of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber, with emphasis on arguably their biggest sucess, 'Evita'. The show features a rare short clip of Rice and Lloyd Webber accompanying Barbara on 'Another Suitcase In Another Hall' from a 1977 TV show - click here to watch online via BBC iPlayer (Barbara appears 55 minutes into the show).

A new compilation CD, 'Messages', a collection of the best of Troy Donockley is now available to order online here. The album features tracks from Troy's previous studio albums plus two new and unreleased tracks. The set also includes 'Now Voyager' which features Barbara on vocals.
GRIMSBY CHARITY SIGNING (11.12.11)
Barbara will be appearing at a book event at the St James' Hotel in Grimsby, this Tuesday, 13th December between 7.00-9.00 pm where she will be signing copies of her autobiography, 'A Shirt Box Full of Songs'. All proceeds from the event go to the Samaritans.
